This Privacy Policy describes how the fit. mobile application ("fit.", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our Android and iOS applications (the "App"). By using fit., you agree to the practices described below.
fit. is operated by the developer team behind the fit. virtual try-on application. For questions about this policy, contact us at samyakjain269@gmail.com.
We do not collect: precise GPS location, contacts, calendar, SMS content, microphone audio, or browsing history outside the App.
We do not use your photos to train machine-learning models. We do not sell your personal information.
fit. does not collect biometric or face-geometry data. The App performs no face scanning, face tracking, or facial recognition, and we never use your photos to identify you or anyone else. The only face data we handle is the faces visible in the ordinary photographs you choose to upload, and in the try-on images generated from them.
Photos you upload (your selfie, garment images, and AI-generated try-on results) remain stored on our servers until you delete them or delete your account. You can delete any individual photo at any time from the Profile tab inside the App. You can delete your entire account from the in-app settings sheet or by emailing samyakjain269@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my fit. account".
When you request account deletion, all account-linked photos and try-on records are removed from our active systems within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregated metrics that do not identify you may be retained indefinitely.
For details on what is deleted and what may be briefly retained, see our Delete your account page.
We share information only with the following categories of service providers, who process it on our behalf under contract:
| Provider | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication, database, and file storage for your photos and try-on records | Email address, user ID, your uploaded photos, garment images, and AI-generated try-on images |
| Google (Sign in with Google) | Optional third-party sign-in; Google verifies your identity and returns an ID token to us | Your Google account email (only if you choose Sign in with Google) |
| Apple (Sign in with Apple) | Optional third-party sign-in on iOS; Apple verifies your identity and returns an ID token to us | The email your Apple Account shares (only if you choose Sign in with Apple) |
| Railway | Backend application hosting | API request metadata (timestamps, IP address, response codes) |
| OpenAI (image-generation API, primary provider) | Generates the AI try-on image by combining your photo and the garment image when you request a try-on | Your uploaded photo and the garment image, transmitted only after you have given your permission in the App and only when you initiate a try-on. No name, email, or account identifier is sent. Per OpenAI's API policy, inputs may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and are not used to train OpenAI's models. |
| Google Gemini (image-generation API, fallback provider) | Generates the AI try-on image when OpenAI is unavailable | The same two images, under the same conditions as OpenAI above. Per the Gemini API's paid-tier terms, inputs are not used to train Google's models and may be retained briefly for abuse monitoring. |
| Product image scraping (Myntra, Ajio, etc.) | Fetching the garment image from a product URL you paste | The product URL you submit. No data about you is sent to the retailer. |
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
You can share an AI try-on image from the App by tapping the share button, which opens your device's share sheet (for example, WhatsApp). When you choose a destination, that app or service receives the image and handles it under its own privacy policy. fit. itself does not host a public gallery of your try-on images.
fit. is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable threshold). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact samyakjain269@gmail.com and we will delete it.
We use HTTPS for all network communication, authenticated session tokens (JWT) for API access, and presigned URLs for direct-to-storage uploads. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is perfectly secure.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email samyakjain269@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Your data may be processed in regions where our service providers operate (including the United States, the European Union, and India). Where required, we rely on standard contractual safeguards.

| Photos / Media (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES on Android; the system photo picker on iOS) | (Optional) pick an existing photo to upload. On iOS the App only ever receives the specific photos you select. |

You may revoke any of these permissions in your device Settings; the relevant feature will simply not be available.
The App may render product links from third-party sites (e.g., Myntra, Ajio). Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App.
